The sights were just as amazing down stream. We wandered through the snowy landscape and watched the clouds change shape in the mirror like river.
On our way home we stopped at Shannon Falls. The first time we visited this park (about 3 years ago) the waterfalls were frozen over, so it was great to see the water cascading down cutting through the freshly laid snow.
The stream was a winter wonderland full of interesting things to look at. Check out the icicles dangling from the log. J had a great time poking the ice shelves that had formed around the rocks in the stream.
And of course our day would not have been complete without a snowball fight. J and I came upon a few picnic tables that had piles of untouched snow on the benches and table tops. This turned into perfect ammunition. Maybe next time we'll build a snowman.
