Flat Stanley came to visit

My little cousin was reading Flat Stanley in her class and as a project she needed to create her own Flat Stanley and send him on an adventure. She packed him in an envelope with a letter and off he went through the mail to my door.



We ventured into San Francisco one morning and walked around the Embarcadero, snapped a photo with the TransAmerica building and headed to the Chinatown entrance. He paused for a moment with these two, reading a book.



We then ventured on to Union Square and went back again the next day where we joined up with a friend of mine who was running in the Nike Women's Marathon. She needed to pick up her race number and goody bag when she asked if Flat Stanley wanted to run with her.

He said yes and although they misspelled his name, he was excited.

He got a new outfit and hat for the race and jumped on to Jenny's back to helped her to the finish line.

It was a great adventure in San Francisco and amazing to see just how many people would point and say hello to Flat Stanley. It's like he's a celebrity.
